People at CADMION

Heading CADMION’s scientific team are the owners, Yannis Ligas and Maria Liga. CADMION has opted to employ young scientists, foresighted, with excellent studies. Brief resumes of those heading the laboratory departments are presented below.  

Yannis ligas, Chemist, M.Sc.

Yannis Ligas is a graduate of the Department of Chemistry (University of Patras) where he also obtained the Oenology diploma. His postgraduate studies refer to the field of Industrial Chemistry (Department of Chemistry, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens). He is a doctoral candidate at the Agricultural University of Athens. He can speak four foreign languages.

Maria Liga, Chemist, M.Sc.

Maria Liga is a graduate of the Department of Chemistry (University of Patras) where she also obtained the Oenology diploma. Her postgraduate studies were in the field of Analytical Chemistry (Department of Chemistry, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens). Her dissertation was supervised at the Benaki Phytopathological Institute in the Pesticides Analysis. She can speak three foreign languages.

Kleio Dimogeronta, Biologist.

Klio Dimogerontas is a graduate of the Department of Biology (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens). He was ranked third in the introductory exams of this department in 2006.
She has an important background as a researcher at the Laboratory of Microbiology of the University of Athens. She speaks three foreign languages. She holds the position of Customer Care & Project Manager of the Microbiological Laboratory.

Dimitris Giannitsios, Chemist, M.Sc.

Dimitris Giannitsios is a graduate of the Department of Chemistry (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens) where he also obtained the Oenology diploma. His postgraduate studies were in the field of Industrial Chemistry (Department of Chemistry, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens). He can speak two foreign languages.

Fanni-Marlene Roumeliotis
Biologist, Ph.D.

Fani-Marlene Roumeliotis is a graduate of the Department of Biological Applications and Technologies (University of Ioannina). She holds a PhD in the School of Medicine (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens). She speaks two foreign languages and sign language. She holds the position of Head of the Laboratory of Molecular Biology.

Panagiota Checheni, Chemist, Ph.D.

Panagiota Checheni is a graduate of the Department of Chemistry (University of Patras). She holds a PhD in Peptide Synthesis (Department of Chemistry, University of Patras). Prior to CADMION, she spent ten years as a Chemical Analyst and Researcher in the renowned Pharmaceutical Industry. She speaks a foreign language. She holds the position of Head of Additives and Preservative Analysis.

Fanis Matsoukas, Oenologist-Technologist.

Fanis Matsoukas is a graduate of the Department of Oenology and Beverage Technology (Technological Educational Institution of Athens) where he was ranked first in the entrance examinations in 2003. He can speak two foreign languages.

Christos Kalatzis, IT Engineer, M.Sc.

Christos Kalatzis is a graduate of the Department of Computer Engineering and Informatics (University of Patras) with postgraduate studies in the field of Artificial Intelligence (Interdepartmental Program of Computer Engineering and Informatics with the Department of Mathematics of the University of Patras). He can speak two foreign languages.

Eva Koumousi, Chemist, Ph.D.

Eva Koumousi is a graduate of the Department of Chemistry (University of Patras). She completed her Postgraduate Specialization in Polymer (Department of Chemistry, University of Patras). She holds a PhD in Physical Chemistry (University of Bordeaux). She speaks two foreign languages. She holds the position of Head of Nutrition Labeling.

Aggeliki Alexopoulou, Chemist.

Angeliki Alexopoulou is a graduate of the Department of Chemistry (National Kapodistrian University of Athens). Her Practical Exercise has been done at the General Laboratory of the State in the Food Directorate. She speaks a foreign language. She holds the position of Head in Water Chemistry. Labeling

Vasilis Ligas, Agronomist

Vasilis Ligas is a graduate of the Athens Agricultural University where he also obtained the Oenology diploma. He had been running an oenology laboratory since 1975. He had worked as a private agronomist in Korinthia from 1973 to 2005. In 1975, he was one of the founders of the plant protection products trading company “SEGE” from which he retired in 1987.
